Grown Up Girl

We decided that our age for ear piercing would be 11 and Sarah has been so excited for this rite of passage.

We weren't sure where to go here, so asked the iphone for the nearest claire's and drove there. It was strange, but somehow we were the ONLY white people in the mall. There seems to be some sort of self-segregation going on. Many of the stores were unfamiliar and we really were the only white people. A few days later Leah & I went to a different mall and there were only white people there and all kids of hoity-toity stores. Strange.

The lady helping us was really nice and did a careful job positioning the holes and preparing Sarah.

Cute, huh?

Oh, Sarah! They look great! I hope you're all feeling better now. You looked pretty pink there on your birthday.
