Visitors

We often say that the worst part about living in Utah is having to tell people that you live in Utah.  And certainly one of the best things about living here is that it is a crossroad for so many people we know.  This summer we were so glad to have the chance to spend some time with people we like.



We had a fun picnic at South Fork Park in Provo Canyon with some friends from, well, everywhere.  (I've tried two or three ways to detail how we know the people who were there and it is hopelessly tangled).  It was the McFarlands, Shumways, Hickmans, Holbrook-Browns, Turners, and us.  We had yummy pot-luck food.  The kids (and Rob) got to play in the river.  It was so nice to see and talk with such dear dear friends.  Oh the glory days of Camelot . . .  (I must admit that I shamelessly stole some of these photos -- the nice ones with rich deep color -- from MA's blog)

We also got to host the Sohs as they came to and from their trip to Hawaii.  They are just such a pleasure to have as guests.  How we wish we could see them more often.



We somehow didn't take very many photos while they were here though . . .



We also got to spend a little time with Candice and her two cuties while they were in Utah. My girls are still talking about how absolutely precious little Peter is. He was quite the celebrity.


It was so sweet to see Kate reading books to him and listen to Ella's sweet lullabies.


Livvy and Leah had a great time together too!
